My name is Bartosz German, but most people just know me as Bartek—the guy who likes heavy weights a bit more than is socially acceptable. I train because I enjoy it, because I like feeling that my body does what I want it to do, and because it gives me a kind of mental calm. A heavy deadlift works better on me than any motivational slogan ever could.

On a daily basis, I combine training with physiotherapy, because to me it’s all the same thing: the body is supposed to work. That’s it. If something hurts, we deal with it. If something is weak, we strengthen it. If someone is coming back after an injury, I guide them so they can get back to doing what they love. I enjoy this work because I see results and I know it actually makes sense.

Outside the gym, I’ve got my nerdy interests. I like opera, I like fantasy, and I love The Lord of the Rings more than is probably appropriate to admit on a trainer’s website. On top of that, I’m learning Japanese, have an ongoing love affair with coffee, and a tendency to analyze things most people don’t even notice.

I’m not going to list courses and dates here, because that usually doesn’t say much to the person on the other side of the screen. What really matters is visible in practice—in conversation, during training, and in how I approach a problem.

A bit more about me…
